More Bar Promotions!

One Vote, Many Drinks
One way to increase visibility and attract new customers is to host a fundraiser for a political candidate.Chicago's Rockit Bar & Grill invited young people to get involved in politics by hosting Democratic State Treasurer hopeful Alexi Giannoulias' birthday party. A $250 VIP reception kicked off the event, followed by a $50 birthday bash.Illinois state congressmen, city council members and other local politicos helped chair the event; Effen Vodka and Bud Light served as beverage sponsors. Rockit co-owner Billy Dec, who went to high school with the birthday boy, said "he knows that we have access and influence over a large demographic of primarily young professionals in their 20's and 30's in the Chicagoland area."Though the bar can't hold more than 300 people at a time, nearly 500 patrons stopped in throughout the night to show their support.
