What Marketing Can't Do For You!

Just ordered a pizza tonight from a new pizza place Lori wanted to try in our new hometown. Great pizza! Probably better - to me - than most every pizza I have had in the past year! It's that good. Except - their marketing consists of a single sheet of 8 1/2 X 11 dull yellow paper with a dozen of the most boringly dull coupons you would see anywhere you went on this planet. Even the back was empty!
So I did my usual rework on their piece and sent it back to them with my business card asking to talk to them at their earliest convenience at absolutely no cost to them. I just love their pizza!
Then as I was thinking about how I just wanted to throw this piece of crap marketing in my trash and just call them up, I started thinking about all the great things I could help them accomplish, then it hit me! There was way too much that needed to be done that marketing couldn't help.

Duh!

Shouldn't we get a grasp on that? Especially now?
