Here's a new WOM buzzword: "communal shopping." A recent study from Yahoo! referred to the term in which consumers share knowledge, product reviews, and coupons to help others make purchasing decisions. Yahoo's study showed 25% of consumers have posted reviews online, and that number is expected to grow. Fueling this new influence is the increased usage of digital tools like camera-equipped mobile phones, email, and other text messaging.
