New Band Talent Search At The Ranch in Midland, Texas, unsigned bands who participated in the Ranch’s Songwriter and New Band Talent Search received prime time airplay on a local station for two months. Listeners voted for the top five bands with ballots available at the competition’s sponsors. When the top five winners were chosen, The Ranch hosted a battle of the bands contest.

Hell on Heels The Drink in Omaha, Neb., teamed with a local cycle shop to display Harley Davidson motorcycles inside, while a Harley and an Orange County Chopper were raffled in the parking lot for charity. A local clothing shop provided highway wear for models on a catwalk, with local stylists doing hair and wardrobe. The Drink pulled around $7,000 in sales from the crowd of 500.
